Brand yourself as the expert

If you want to succeed in your MLM business, you must focus on promoting yourself instead of promoting your business opportunity. People don’t join companies, they join leaders. You must become that leader who people want to follow. To become that leader you must get people to know, like and trust you. This can be done by providing great information for free and by solving people’s problems, for example on your blog or through videos.

Always build your own email list

If you want to become successful with your MLM opportunity, you must focus on building up your own email list. Create your own squeeze pages and promote them instead of your MLM website. Once you get people on your own email list, you can follow up on them and build a relationship. Again, you need to get them to know, like and trust you. Provide free tools and information through your follow up emails in your autoresponder, solve people’s problems and they will start to follow you. Don’t be that pushy salesman, let sales come to you naturally.

Use a proven system

Any MLM business is based on duplication. If your downline members can’t sponsor new members on their own, then your downline won’t grow deep. You need a proven system that your downline members can use to sponsor new people into your MLM opportunity. With a proven system your downline members just need to follow simple but proven steps towards success. They will know exactly what to do and the chance that they become successful will be much higher.

Be consistent

Most people give up much too early. Building a MLM downline takes time and a lot of effort. You won’t become rich overnight and most likely you won’t earn a full-time income in your first six months. Be prepared for that. Be prepared to put in a lot of work without getting much results. If you keep working at it and don’t give up, then momentum will take place at one point and your business starts to grow faster than you could possibly imagine.
